2PM was the start of my basketball madness this day. It was a double-header game (as usual, especially on week-ends), the first game is the University of the East and the Adamson University match up. I wasn't able to watch the start of the game because I zapped the channel (hihi). But I zipped it back to UAAP because other shows were as boring as a Monday afternoon.

Anyways, I always root for the underdogs (I don't even know the reason why) and this game was actually a battle of the underdogs. The two squads were under the game standings, 6th and 7th place respectively. At the end of the first half, the Adamson showed the intensity that they had last conference. And maybe, the reason why the Warriors had a bad start in the ball game, is because the Falcons started their rally strong. Pananaw ko lang naman 'yun :) Adamson ended the first half carrying a 14-point lead. 28-14

In the start of second half, Adamson was really unstoppable. They were shooting from the downtown country with confidence. Though there are parts in which the UE squad was trying to make a run but the 3-point shooting of the Falcons made a significant difference in this match-up. The Falcons were able to shoot 13 3-point shots out of 24 attempts and the assist also helped the team to get it's third win of the season.

89-69

Well, this was the main event of the double-header this Saturday. The match-up against the number 1 seed, Ateneo De Manila University and the number 3 seed, University of Sto. Tomas. In the first round of the 75th season, exactly 58 days ago, the Tigers made the whole UAAP community amazed by how they won that game. They were under 15-point the at half but the returning Aljon Mariano saved the day for the Tigers. His 9 consecutive points at the 3rd quarter gained the confidence of his other team-mates and simply won the game, with only 1 point. 

But this is a different story, I am a UST fan except when they are against FEU (Opkors) and I expected that they will make it. At the start of the first quarter, the UST outscored the Blue Eagles but in the second quarter the Ateneo was slowly getting their kind of game and ended the half with 33 to 30. 

It was huge upset for the Tigers entering the 3rd quarter, the Blue Eagles got the lead after the 4-point play of Oping Sumalinog and the Eagles started to make baskets and outscored the Tigers to 9 points at the end of the 3rd quarter. 52-43 BUT, the UST wow-ed the crowd in adjusting to the playing style of the ADMU. They were getting steals and shooting inside the paint and in the crucial last minute of the game, the two teams were tied at 63. Mariano only made 1 out of two from the free throw area and get again the lead back to the Tigers, 64-63 but Tiongson scored two points from a long jumper that reclaim their lead to 65-64. And the rest is history. 

I must say that at the last minute of the ball-game the defense of the Eagles is the reason why they won the victory over the Growling Tigers. Maybe the last attempt of Mariano, shooting a three in that kind of position was not his best decision but what the others are saying nga, bilog ang bola. I'm sure that they are in the final four spot and maybe in the finals. Nobody knows as of now, let's just wait for the semis next next week. So excited for it! :)

I also watched the game of Phil-Lebanon at the FIBA Asia Cup this night. And we won over the depending Champions, yehey! Though, we're suffering from low 3-point shooting percentage at least they made a way to claim that victory. Go Gilas Pilipinas! 

Media Group Dilemmas =)

Should I cry (not literally cry hehe) because I was not accepted for the media group o should I rejoice because it won't add any more pressures anymore? 

Yeah, those questions are lingering in my head as of now. Media Group was organized by the Department of Communication for training writers that they will 'use' in the near future. Of course as a student, I really want to be a part of that group because (1) Ma'am Barro will be our mentor in the MG and by the way, she is one of the professors that amazes me all the time (2) INCENTIVES, you'll get incentives of course because you'll be training hard for that (3) Learning outside the classroom, there are so many different things that you'll learn here especially in writing and last (4) You have the opportunity to work with the professors in the DepComm. I know there are a lots of great things that I still haven't mentioned here but nonetheless, it's worth joining. 

I tried to join the MG along with my other blocmates and last Tuesday was the deliberation. I was excited, really excited about it. When Ma'am Barro, checked our papers, she gave a perfect grade. If I could just shout at the moment, I would shout but hehehe it's not allowed. Then she told us the students that will be participating in the MG. She only mentioned 3 students and I was not one of them.

JUST BECAUSE OF ONE ASSIGNMENT. It broke my heart when she said that I haven't passed one assignment and maybe that is the determinant why I was not in the MG. I don't want to elaborate that assignment thingy because it will bring me to tears if I'll do that, CHOS. Just refer to my other blog post about my assignment. Huhuhu. 15 percent of our class standing is that one homework.

I already discussed (very prof ito) the pros in joining the Media Group. But most of the time, there are always a negative counterpart in one event or thing. (1) Added pressure, you have so many requirements to be done, reports to be reported, essays and writings to be written and so forth, it'll really add a tremendous pressure for students to think that their mentor is none other than Ma'am Barro. (2) Maybe students will be facing a different Ma'am Barro, before the Media Group, Ma'am already gave a warning to us that she'll have a higher standards to the members of it. "Bawal tanga and pajulit-julit"

Okay, let's face it. Maybe, this is not my time to join the group or maybe this is not the place where I can maximize my writing skills. But, I'll train and train to become a good writer that I will use in the field of media someday. <3 div="div">

Nabasa ko na yung 2nd part ng sequel nito sobrang lupeeeeet na libro ni Master Eros Atalia (pinanuod ko na din, medyo shocking lang s'ya para sa akin hehehe) Last Saturday natapos ko na yung last (pero sana may installation paaaaa nito please Eros please po) installment ng sequel na It's not that complicated.


GRABE. Understatement ang salitang grabe sa librong ito. Wala na akong masabi sa ganda ng twist ng istorya, cast, set-up ng mga characters. Pero, sobrang natuwa ako sa bandang dulo, basahin n'yo na lang dahil ayokong maging spoiler. :D Nakaka-inlove talaga ito. Sobrang. Go, basa na. Wala pang isang araw ko itong binasa, hindi mo na kasi s'ya titigilan! =)

Kaibigan lang pala, kaibigan lang pala.

Akala n'yo siguro emo-emohan ang blog post ko, nagkakamali kayo. =)) Sobrang natuwa lang kasi ako kanina kasi nag-Tales From The Friend Zone marathon ako by Ramon Bautista, actually nung June ko pa s'ya alam, sa hindi ko malamang dahilan hindi ko s'ya napanuod, kahit isang episode man lang. Kanina habang nagttwitter ako, nakita ko sa aking timeline na may niretweet si Sir Ramon Bautista tapos link pala iyon sa TFTFZ. Edi ako naman si nuod. Grabe, real life experiences ito. And ang location nila lagi sa UP Diliman (hihihi Sir ang bias ha :">) Nakakatuwa lang kasi sobrang relate-able yung bawat episodes tapos light lang s'ya sa feeling, hindi tulad nung mga nasa FM Radio, sobrang detailed dun. Sa TFTFZ, brief explanation/story lang pero andun yung emotions and feelings. "Na-friendzoned ka na, may t-shirt ka naman." - Ramon Bautista. Sobrang macocomfort ka talaga sa katagang iyon. 

Doon sa mga hindi pa nakakaranas (ay ha ano ito) na makapanuod ng mga video ni Sir RB, eto, mag-marathon din kayo. SUGOD LANG LABAN PA PILIPINAS!

Sa mga nangyayaring kalamidad sa Pilipinas, sobrang nakakatuwang tignan na dito talaga lumalabas ang tunay na bayanihan sa ating mga Pilipino. Ang daming istorya ng mga tunay na bayani natin ngayon. Mga sugatan at biktima din ng bagyo, tinutulungan ang iba. Yung mga rescuer na kahit pagod na pagod na, sugod pa din sa baha para lag maligtas ang mga kababayanan nating nasa peligro pa din. Ang mga tao sa gobyerno na hindi na natutulog para lang matugunan ang mga pangangailangan ng mga nasalanta. Ang mga taong nasa bahay, nagreretweet para mabilis ang dissemination na information at mabilis itong makarating sa mga kinauukulan. Ang mga tao sa harap at likod ng media (in 4 years time, andyan na din ako hihihi) na sumusuong kung saan-saan para maibalita ang mga balitang kailangan nating malaman. Sa mga panahong ito, sobrang nakakabilib ang puso ng mga Pilipino, walang sawang tumutulong, walang sawang nananalangin, walang sawa ding nagmamahal sa kapwa Pinoy. 

At dahil d'yan, sobrang bagay na bagay sa unti-unti nating pagbangon sa trahedya ang kantang ito. :)

HE WAS DEFEATED BY A WRESTLER

Lagi na lang akong nagsosorry dahil hindi ko nauupdate yung blog ko. As if may nagbabasa pa nito, lols. 

Sa sobrang busy ko, pati FB 'di ko na nagagawa dahil may bet ko ang twitter dahil fast s'ya sa Chrome.

Sige, dahil overcrowded ang ideas ko this night, wala din naman laman ang utak ko kung hindi panghihinayang sa pagkatalo ni Mark Barriga doon sa (wala na akong balak alamin ang pangalan n'ya) boxer/wrestler na Kazathani na iyon. I promised to myself kanina that I will do whatever it takes to meet/see/talk/take picture/interview Barriga when he returns to the Philippines. Ang dami kong gustong gawin actually but I don't have the time. As always, I'm consumed with my studies, because I have to or else nothing will happen in my life. Lol, I was just kidding. 

Anyways back to the barriga story, I'm so saddened when I turned on the TV 3 or 2 hours ago and then I saw a picture of barriga with the L sign, you know what it means right? Hahaha. L is for love, because somehow I love him because of olympics. Olympic love. Lol joke. Hahaha! My brain isn't working the way it should tonight. Back again to the story, yeah reality slapped me really hard when I saw the "L" letter. Baka naman love lang yun, no, it's lose. I thought that he would really made it even to the round of 8, happy na ako dun. I wasn't able to watch the match (wow, rhyme) because we are putting my baby sister to sleep then. 

It broke my heart, all the Filipinos who believed and prayed that, this kid would be able to be an olympic winner. He has the potential, he has the skills, he has a coach who himself experienced being in the Olympics and won a silver medal for the country. Well, we have to face it, he was defeated by a wrestler. Let's wait again for another excruciating 4 years, 4 more, apat pa. Let's help our athletes to win the medal that we always wanted and craved for.

Kasabay ng pagluluksa ko sa pagbagsak ko sa unang quiz namin sa Journ (Jamich lang?) at sumabay na din ang langit at ang buong sambayanang Pilipino sa pagpanaw ng ating kinikilalang Hari ng Komedya.

Bata pa lang ako, lumaki na ako sa mga palabas sa telebisyon at mga pelikula ni Dolphy, mula sa John en Marsha na sa RPN-9 ko pa napapanuod pati sa Home along 'd Riles sa two, sayang wala s'yang show sa GMA-7. Sobrang simple n'ya lang magpatawa, hindi na n'ya kailangang tumalon sa building para lang matawa ang mga tao, kumbaga in born ang pagiging comedian n'ya. Dahil adik talaga ako sa tv, pati yung mga dating pelikula n'ya napanuod ko din, Silveria na yung isa dun, para s'yang may hawig sa petrang kabayo pero hindi. Ang daming talagang sobrang nakakatawang moments pag pinapanuod ko s'ya pero marahil ang 'di ko malilimutan ay yung pinauso n'yang 'dyaryo hampas'. Tuwang-tuwa talaga ako kapag nirorolyo na n'ya yung dyaryo tapos ihahampas n'ya dun sa slow n'yang kausap. 

Noong nakaraang mga linggo, sunod-sunod ang mga balita tungkol sa paghina ng kalusugan ng Hari ng Komedya dahil sa Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) at kung ano-ano pang mga sakit. Nakita at nasubaybayan natin ang paglaban ni dolphy at nakita naman natin na kahit sa ganoong sitwasyon ay nagagawa n'yang ngumiti at tumawa. 

Ngayong sa araw ng kanyang paglisan, feeling ko ang sobrang ang saya-saya na sa langit. Sana'y dalhin natin sa ating mga puso ang kagalakang ibinigay n'ya sa bawat Pilipino sa loob ng halos animnapung taon. Mabuhay ka Dolphy! You'll remain in our hearts forever! <3

Super fun na friday as in talaga ito. Kasi una, block mayor ako, although alam kong di yun fun kasi magpapaphotocopy lang ako lage, pero still considered as fun na yun, second is tawa lang talaga ako ng tawa buong araw halos.

Kala ko pa naman malalate na ako ng pasok kasi medyo late na akong umalis ng bahay, good thing yung prof namin sa English no show for 2 consecutive meetings so happy happy kame. Nagdecide kami ng Eyn na magpaphotocopy ng handouts for Psych kasi wala kami last meeting. Kwentuhan as usual kami tapos nakita namin si Ate Bianca, chika din. Then, 12 na, psych na namin, HAHAHA. Di ko inakalang Psych class pala iyon kala ko ibang class ang napasukan ko. Grabe, lakas makascientific explicit terms si sir. Pero okay lang, kailangang maging open sa mga ganung bagay, wag mo lang sanayin ang sarili mo na pati ikaw ganun na din ang pananalita. Against the flow ika nga. Kala ko naman napakadaming idi-discuss only to find out na Q and A portion pala ito. Hahaha. Lunch, we ate at KFC tapos na-meet namin yung bowa ni Fabie, for Fabie pwede na yung bowa n'ya choosy pa ba? Emee. Comm100 naman namin, patuloy pa din yung impromptu speaking nila kasi natapos na ako last meeting, medyo madami din yung sumalang and nagbotohan for class officers for our block. Mega ultra laughtrip lang ang nangyari. Idi-discuss sana ni Ma'am Concha yung The Great Media Rush of 1970, kaso lang konti lang ang nagbasa ng readings, edi next week na lang ang peg. Tapos nagpaiwan pa ng reflection questions si auntie, what can you offer to the media eme eme yung tanong tas what made you decide to take up masscomm yata. Sana may sumagot next meeting. Journ101 na the happiest subject para sa akin nowadays sana hanggang sa end ng sem, ito pa din ang happiest. News gathering techniques yung topic and talaga sobrang ang saya magturo ni ma'am. I am learning a lot from her and peg ko syang maging mentor ko sa writing, Echauz. Tapos na yung Journ namin, at sabi ni Eyn na magroom to room kami ulet, nung unang nag-announce kami, ulter mega champi yung announcement, nahiya tuloy ako sa sarili ko, wala kaming spiel at kahit ano, we brought ourselves. Buti na lang kasama na namin sina Ate Ella at Kuya RJ, edi laughtrip na kami. Wala yata kaming ginawa kundi tumawa ng tumawa. Hahahahaha.

Dahil bakasyon ang peg ko ngayon, sobrang babad lang talaga ako sa TV, kain at internet etc.. At tuwing tanghali naging 'habit' ko na talagang manuod ng Eat Bulaga dahil (1) ang funny kasi at (2) sobrang funny kasi talaga s'ya. Maliban sa Pinoy Henyo na inaabangan ko dahil baka may FEU ulit na sumali, *insert proud tamaraw here* at minsan nakaka-laughtrip talaga na malapit na sila dun sa sagot di nila mahula-hulaan yung mismong sagot. Ex. Ate: Presidente? Kuya: OO! Ate: (Nabanggit ng lahat maliban si osmena) Kuya: *double face palm*. Hahahaha! 

Ang pinaka-favorite ko talaga sa lahat at ang Juan for all, all for Juan, BAYANIHAN of da People. Sobra kasi talaga s'yang nakakatuwa, nakikita ko palang si Jose natatawa na ako what more kung magjjoke pa s'ya. Aside dun sa funny part nung segment na yun, sobrang naappreciate ko yung effort na binuhos ng Eat Bulaga sa pag-iisip ng konseptong na maari pa naman tayong mag-"bayanihan" sa makabagong panahon. 

Naisip ko lang, bakit kaya hindi ito gawin ng gobyerno?! Hahaha. Ang korni nitong idea ko, pero feeling ko papatok itis. (nung isang araw ko pa ito ibblog sana kaso tamad na tamad ako, you know) Napagtanto ko, kung ang LGU at NGO magtutulungan na gawing posible na magkaroon ng parang 'kompetisyon' sa bawat baranggay sa bawat munisipyo o lungsod tas kunwari ang price, ineendorse ng isang artista yung lugar nila, and ibig sabihin nun dadayyuhin yung lugar nila kasi may artistang nag-endorse at kung ano-ano pang benefits na pwede nilang makuha plus the ultimate bragging right na sila ang model baranggay in that specific municipality edi = Funds sa gobyerno, dadaming trabaho, mas pagbubutihin ng mga tao ang kalidad ng buhay nila sa kahit maliit na paraan, magiging epektibo ang government officials, gaganda ang paligid, mababawasan ang tambay at sa kalaunan world peace.

Mini Graham Balls :">

WHY AM I SO TAMAD UPDATING THIS BLOG? WHY? :((

So I was planning to do this blog a week ago but thanks to procrastination I wasn't able to do this thing. Huhuhu. Btw, my friends and I planned to make a surprise 'debut party' for Michelle, my beswie. We were assigned to do things for the party and also to bring food because we thought that Mich's mom's food wasn't enough for us. Unfortunately, I was really broke that time and I don't have any budget in making or buying any food. Huhuhu. Luckily, we have a box of Graham crackers and an idea went to my mind, to make graham balls! :D

In making graham balls, you'll be needing.

2 cups                               MY San Grahams, crushed

125 grams                         Softened Butter or Margarine

2 Sachets                          Milo

2 to 3 tspn                        Sugar

Water

1.) Mix all the ingredients, then you're done. Kidding. =)) Mix the butter or margarine to the crushed grahams in a bowl. 

2.) Then, in a separate bowl, add water, milo and le sugar. Whisk it until it becomes viscous.

3.) Add the Milo mixture to the graham bowl. (LOL)

4.) Mix everything until it becomes dough-like.

5.) With your hands, get some of the 'dough' and make mini circle and put it in a tray so it's organized. Lol. =))

6.) Chill it for 4 hours and you're done! =))

I was posting anything for about a week because I'm soo lazy to put up things here. Hahahaha. BTW, this post was worth posting so I exerted my efforts though nakakatamad tologo. Hahaha!

It's been weeks that I haven't attended GenCon and I missed it so much. =)) and I was checking my facebook yesterday, and I was not expecting good from it. (Lol) Then, I saw a picture of Jayjay Helterbrand, actually it was a collage and I noticed that it was like an invitation thing that says he's going to GenCon! My inner fangirling thing went crazy as in crazy. Hahaha. 

Malabo, I know. But it's the thought that counts. =)))

PBA Finals Commissioner's Cup Game 3

So yesterday was a big comeback of the Bmeg Llamados courtesy of Denzel Monster Bowles after losing Wednesday's game to Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters.

At first I thought that this would be a W for TNT because Jason Castro was giving his all during Game 2 and maybe Bowles was discourage because of his huge turnover in that said game BUT the "Monster Bowles" proved me wrong. Scoring with 28 big points, 20 rebounds, 6 blocks, 4 assists, and 2 steals, ultimately he made Mama Bowles very proud. 

At the start of the ball game, it seemed that TNT was really into the game, the phase and the intensity was most likely to be TNT's style, Ryan Reyes was shooting easy lay-ups and you'll feel the inside penetration of the Tropa but Josh Urbiztondo and James Yap scored three-pointers in the 1st quarter that made the morale of the Llamados be lifted and they managed to have to cut lead of the Tropang Texters to only two points.

In the 2nd quarter up to the last quarter, the game went more intense because of the defense by the 2 squads specially by Bmeg. The key players of the Tropang Texters (Alapag, De Ocampo & Castro) were finding it too difficult to make a shot, they also have fewer assists compared to Llamados because they can't even make a shot according to the head coach of TNT, Chot Reyes. The Llamados, though they have lesser bench scoring and inside shots than TNT, Urbiztondo, Yap and Intal/Simon (I forgot who he is. Hahaha) made 10 out of 22 in the 3 point range and that's huge. Patience in handling the ball, fewer turnovers, and the defensive play by the BMeg Llamados were the keys in their second win in this PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals. :D

JOKE! Hahahahaha! Happy birthday auntie! 18 ka na! Very legal na po ang peg mo! Pwede ka ng magpartyrock sa Elbi, eme lang! =))) Solomot sa lahat lahat lahat. Sa pag-oovernight ko sa inyo, susugod na lang akong bigla at makikitulog. Sa paglalaro natin ng waveboard nung bago tayo mag4th year, sa pagkain natin ng isaw sa tabi ng bahay n'yo (Imbang sarap non grabe), sa pagpunta ko sa inyo tuwing pasko at dahil dun nabiyayaan pa ako ng pamasko kahit di n'yo ako kamag-anak. Hahaha! Sa pag-invite sa akin sa starters dati, grabeng takas ginawa ko nun, galing pa tayo sa "groupings" HAHAHA! =))) Naalala ko tuloy nung very naadik tayo sa NBA, basta 8 ng umaga dapat gising na dahil live telecast yun sa US. Boston Celtics! Boston Celtics! Basta ang dami dami nating trip na 'di kering gawin ng iba. (EME) =))) Ang dami ko tuloy naalala, pag mag-oonyt ako sa inyo nung 3rd year lagi nating pinag-uusapan si *toot* tas aabutin tayo ng madaling-araw kakatawa. Tas pag umaga na, sabit pa ako sa service n'yo. Tas pag kayo naman ni Den-den (MIJAKI!!!!) ang mag-oonyt, puro pagkain lang ang ginagawa natin, in short, wala tayong produktibong ginagawa. Hahaha! Ang saya-saya lang, puro happy memories, gawa naman tayo ng sad minsan, joke. =)))

Ayon, happy birthday ulet! Pakainin mo naman ang TFS, kailangan na kailangan natin yun. =)) Sana lagi kang okay sa lb dahil wa na akong balita sa'yo. Hahaha. PBA Commissioner's Cup: TNT Tropang Texters BMeg Llamados.

Lol. My first post was erased so I have to do it ALL again. *facepalm*

So last Monday was the first game of the 7-games series of the PBA Finals. Though i am not a fan of the two squads because I true blue Gin-ja (Super Ginebra fan here!) but I have to say that TNT and Bmeg is a very good match-up for this series. It is a strategy type of series because Tim Cone and Chot Reyes are the head coaches of the said teams and they are the beat coaches for me when it comes to strategy. 

Game 1 belongs to BMeg because of one BIG factor: freethrows. Just what Coach Reyes said freethrows were gifts denied by his team, scoring 44% from the freethrow line. While yesterday's game was a W for Talk 'N Text and again freethrows was a factor for the squad of Talk 'N Text, they improved shooting from the 15foot line. Donell Harvey and Denzel Bowles are doing great also to help their teams. 

I will post my analysis on tomorrow's game :) So the best team win! 

 A rivalry against two buddies. Exciting game, it really is. \m/
